Lorelei

 

 

Around 1840, Heinrich Heine wrote a famous poem about Lorelei and it became a popular folk song known to most modern day Germans. The poem centered around her seductive power and a fatal attraction for the boatmen. 

This surreal and adult-themed adaptation reveals the pain in the Boatman's past, and what led him to the lonely sea and ultimatley his encounter with Lorelei. 

The newest film from Classics In Miniature, filmed entirely at The Miniature Studio in Topanga, CA, features the marionette puppetry of Steven Ritz-Barr.
