AT HOME PUPPET FILMMAKING WORKSHOP!

Dive into the basics of filmic storytelling with puppetry with this three-part workshop led by puppet filmmaker Alex U. Griffin!

Perfect for aspiring filmmakers and puppeteers alike, this workshop will look at pre-production, production, and post-production over three evening classes. Optional homework assignments will also be given, allowing one to essentially create a short film at home alongside the classes!

April 08: Class 1, Pre-Production: This introductory class will take an overview look at puppet filmmaking before diving into aspects helpful in pre-production of a short film - scripts, overheads, blocking/framing, storyboards/pictureboards and animatics.

April 16: Class 2, Production: This class will look at cameras/formats, lenses, setting the set, lighting, and the organization of footage. May touch on editing basics.

April 22: Class 3, Post-Production: This class will focus on editing tricks and tips, adding music and sound effects to your film, and things to think about for festivals.

We may also have an additional date where we can screen and review any films created.

Hope to see you and your creativity real soon!
