AMATERASU

Directed by Christine Papalexis and produced by Sam Koji Hale and Heather Henson, this short film is unique in that it features found object puppets and worlds. Everything from the worlds to the characters inhabiting it are built from something pre-existing.

Shot on my Sony a7rii, Amaterasu brings the Japanese tale of Amaterasu, the Japanese sun goddess, and a world-changing confrontation with her brother, Susanowa.

The film is currently in post-production, for which I am honored to also be editor for, and looks to be completed in the near future. I will upload a trailer or clip as soon as it's available, but for the time being please look at the footage in my reel!
